31 And God looked upon all that He had made, and indeed, it was very good.

And there was evening, and there was morning — the sixth day.

8 Good and upright is the LORD;

therefore He shows sinners the way.

28 But as for me, it is good to draw near to God.

I have made the Lord GOD my refuge,

that I may proclaim all Your works.

How Great Are Your Works!

1 A Psalm. A song for the Sabbath day.

It is good to praise the LORD,

and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High,

2 to proclaim Your loving devotion in the morning

and Your faithfulness at night

3 with the ten-stringed harp

and the melody of the lyre.

5 For the LORD is good,

and His loving devotion endures forever;

His faithfulness continues to all generations.

How Pleasant to Live in Harmony!

Behold, how good and pleasant it is

when brothers live together in harmony!

2 For I give you sound teaching;

do not abandon my directive.

23 A man takes joy in a fitting reply —

and how good is a timely word!

Saying 26

13 Eat honey, my son, for it is good,

and the honeycomb is sweet to your taste.

14 Know therefore that wisdom is sweet to your soul.

If you find it, there is a future for you,

and your hope will never be cut off.

11 Wisdom, like an inheritance, is good,

and it benefits those who see the sun.

25 The LORD is good to those who wait for Him,

to the soul who seeks Him.

26 It is good to wait quietly

for the salvation of the LORD.

8 He has shown you, O man, what is good.

And what does the LORD require of you

but to act justly, to love mercy,

and to walk humbly with your God?

12 So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous, and good.

2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.

16 Do not allow what you consider good, then, to be spoken of as evil.

A Call to Prayer

1 First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be offered for everyone— 2 for kings and all those in authority— so that we may lead tranquil and quiet lives in all godliness and dignity. 3 This is good and pleasing in the sight of God our Savior,

4 For every creation of God is good, and nothing that is received with thanksgiving should be rejected, 5 because it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, with whom there is no change or shifting shadow.*

50 Salt is good, but if the salt loses its saltiness, with what will you season it? Have salt among yourselves, and be at peace with one another."
