A carne
A carne representa a natureza pecaminosa que milita contra o Espírito. A Bíblia ensina que os que pertencem a Cristo crucificaram a carne com suas paixões e desejos.
Carne versus Espírito
Os que são segundo a carne inclinam-se para as coisas da carne. O nascido da carne é carne; o nascido do Espírito é Espírito.
For those who are according to the flesh, mind the things of the flesh; and those according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit; for the mind of the flesh [is] death, and the mind of the Spirit—life and peace; because the mind of the flesh [is] enmity to God, for to the Law of God it does not subject itself, for neither is it able; and those who are in the flesh are not able to please God.
And you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you; and if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ—this one is not His;
There is, then, now no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit; for the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus set me free from the law of sin and of death; for what the Law was not able to do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, His own Son having sent in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteousness of the Law may be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
for if according to the flesh you live, you are about to die; and if, by the Spirit, the deeds of the body you put to death, you will live; for as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God;
I find, then, the law, that when I desire to do what is right, the evil is present with me, for I delight in the Law of God according to the inward man, and I behold another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin that [is] in my members.
for when we were in the flesh, the passions of sins, that [are] through the Law, were working in our members, to bear fruit to death;
that which has been born of the flesh is flesh, and that which has been born of the Spirit is spirit.
It is the Spirit that is giving life; the flesh does not profit anything; the sayings that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life;
Vencer a carne
Andai no Espírito e não cumprireis os desejos da carne. Os que são de Cristo crucificaram a carne com suas paixões.
And I say, walk in the Spirit, and you may not fulfill the desire of the flesh;
And the works of the flesh are also evident, which are: adultery, whoredom, uncleanness, licentiousness, idolatry, witchcraft, enmities, strife, jealousy, wraths, rivalries, dissensions, sects, envyings, murders, drunkenness, reveling, and such like, of which I tell you before, as I also said before, that those doing such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
and those who are of Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with the affections and the desires;
For you were called to freedom, brothers, only the freedom [is] not for an occasion to the flesh, but serve one another through the love,
because he who is sowing to his own flesh, of the flesh will reap corruption; and he who is sowing to the Spirit, of the Spirit will reap continuous life;
because all that [is] in the world—the desire of the flesh, and the desire of the eyes, and the ostentation of [one’s] life—is not of the Father, but of the world,
in whom you also were circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, in the putting off of the body of sins of the flesh by the circumcision of the Christ,
Watch, and pray, that you may not enter into temptation: the spirit indeed is forward, but the flesh weak."
And this I say, brothers, that flesh and blood are not able to inherit the Kingdom of God, nor does the corruption inherit the incorruption.
