A carne
A carne representa a natureza pecaminosa que milita contra o Espírito. A Bíblia ensina que os que pertencem a Cristo crucificaram a carne com suas paixões e desejos.
Carne versus Espírito
Os que são segundo a carne inclinam-se para as coisas da carne. O nascido da carne é carne; o nascido do Espírito é Espírito.
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. Now the mindset of the flesh is death, but the mindset of the Spirit is life and peace. The mindset of the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to the law of God; indeed, it is unable to do so. That is why those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do since it was weak through the flesh, God has done. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, so that the requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
for if you live according to the flesh, you are going to die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
I find then the law that when I want to do what is right, evil is present with me. For I delight in the law of God in my inner being, but I see another law at work in my members, warring against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner to the law of sin that is in my members.
For when we were in the flesh, our sinful passions, which were aroused by the law, were at work in our members to bear fruit leading to death.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is of no benefit. The words I speak to you are spirit and life.
Vencer a carne
Andai no Espírito e não cumprireis os desejos da carne. Os que são de Cristo crucificaram a carne com suas paixões.
I say then, walk by the Spirit and you will certainly not gratify the desires of the flesh.
Now the works of the flesh are obvious: adultery, fornication, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, hostilities, pt ¦ quarreling 𝔐pt CT PCKquarrels, jealousies, fits of rage, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions, envy, murder, drunkenness, revelries, and the like. I warn you, just as I warned you before, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Now those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
You were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but serve one another in love.
For he who sows to his own flesh will reap corruption from the flesh, but he who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit.
For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not from the Father, but from the world.
In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not done by hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh in the circumcision of Christ.
Keep watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."
Now I tell you, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does what is perishable inherit what is imperishable.
