Casal
Love described
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy; love does not brag, is not proud, is not indecent, is not self-seeking, is not ‘short-fused’, is not malicious; it does not take pleasure in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; it bears all, believes all, hopes all, endures all;
So then, they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God joined together let not man separate!"
Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate."
O projeto divino
Não é bom que o homem esteja só. Dois são melhores do que um — e o cordão de três dobras não se rompe facilmente.
Amor conjugal
Maridos, amai vossas mulheres. A mulher virtuosa é achada de Deus. Cresçam juntos em graça e verdade.
About husbands
Husbands, love your own wives just as Christ also loved the Church and gave Himself up on her behalf,
Just so the husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated his own flesh; rather he nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the Church
"For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh."
Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor and slander be removed from you, with all malice. Rather, be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving one another, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Practical instruction
Therefore, having put away falsehood, ‘Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,’ for we are members of one another. ‘Be angry but do not sin’; do not let the sun set on your angry mood, nor give an opportunity to the devil. The one who steals must steal no longer, but rather let him work, doing something good with his hands, that he may have something to share with someone in need. Let no evil word proceed from your mouth, but only what is good for edification, as needed, that it may impart grace to those who hear. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor and slander be removed from you, with all malice. Rather, be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving one another, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility regard one another as being better than yourselves. Let each of you look out not only for his own concerns, but also for what concerns others.
So all of you are sons of God through the faith in Christ Jesus. As many of you as were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ —there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no ‘male and female’; all of you are one in Christ Jesus—
Separation is a ‘must’
Do not enter a mismatch with unbelievers; for what do righteousness and lawlessness have in common? And what fellowship does light have with darkness?
nevertheless, in the Lord neither is man independent of woman nor woman independent of man.
