4 Love is always patient, Love is always kind, Love is never envious Or vaunted up with pride. Nor is she conceited,5 And never is she rude, Never does she think of self Or ever get annoyed. She never is resentful,6 Is never glad with sin, But always glad to side with truth, Whene'er the truth should win.7 She bears up under everything, Believes the best in all, There is no limit to her hope, And never will she fall.

14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which ties everything together in unity.15 Let the peace of Christ also rule in your hearts, to which you were called in one body, and be thankful.16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you with all richness and wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, and singing to God with thankfulness in your hearts.17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

15 Make sure that no one pays back evil for evil. Instead, always pursue what is good for each other and for everyone else.

25 Husbands, love your wives as Christ loved the church and gave himself for it,

28 In the same way, husbands must love their wives as they love their own bodies. A man who loves his wife loves himself.29 For no one has ever hated his own body, but he nourishes and tenderly cares for it, as Christ does the church.

31 "That is why a man will leave his father and mother and be united with his wife, and the two will become one flesh."

25 Therefore, stripping off falsehood, "let each of us speak the truth to his neighbor," for we are members of one another.26 "Be angry, yet do not sin." Do not let the sun go down on your wrath,27 and do not give the devil an opportunity to work.28 The thief must no longer steal but must work hard and do what is good with his own hands, so that he might have something to give to the needy.29 Let no filthy talk come out of your mouths, but only what is good for building up as the need may be. 3 Do not act out of selfish ambition or conceit, but with humility think of others as being better than yourselves.4 Do not be concerned about your own interests, but also be concerned about the interests of others.

26 For all of you are God's children through faith in Christ Jesus.27 Indeed, all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.28 A person is no longer a Jew or a Greek, a slave or a free person, a male or a female, because all of you are one in Christ Jesus.

4 Let marriage be kept honorable in every way, and the marriage bed undefiled. For God will judge those who commit sexual sins, especially those who commit adultery.

14 Stop becoming unevenly yoked with unbelievers. What partnership can righteousness have with lawlessness? What fellowship can light have with darkness?

11 In the Lord, however, woman is not independent of man, nor is man of woman.
