Casamento
O casamento é aliança sagrada instituída por Deus. Ele une marido e mulher em uma só carne — pacto de amor, fidelidade e companheirismo que reflete o amor de Cristo pela Igreja.
Fundamento divino
Não é bom que o homem esteja só. Deus criou o casamento como aliança de companheirismo, amor e fecundidade.
And the Lord God said, It is not right that Adam should be solitary; I will make for him a helper as for his sake (or, as suited to him: Heb., kenegdo, as his counterpart).

Fidelidade conjugal
O que Deus ajuntou não separe o homem. O casamento deve ser honrado e o leito matrimonial preservado sem impureza.
Amor como Cristo
Maridos, amai vossas mulheres como Cristo amou a igreja. O amor conjugal reflete o evangelho em ação.
Submissão e respeito
Mulheres, sujeitem-se aos próprios maridos. Maridos, convivam com as esposas com conhecimento e honra.
Pureza no casamento
Não adulterarás. A impureza sexual destrói alianças e famílias. Deus chama à santidade no matrimônio.
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house; thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his servant, nor his handmaid, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbour’s.
And Mosheh said to the people, Fear not; for that He may prove you He hath revealed to you the glory of the Lord, and that His fear may be before your face, that you may not sin.
Sabedoria conjugal
Acha esposa, acha o bem. Bebe água da tua própria cisterna. A fidelidade conjugal é fonte de bênção permanente.
Bíblia e casamento
Deus abomina o divórcio. A aliança matrimonial é reflexo da aliança de Deus com seu povo — sagrada e eterna.
When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go forth with the army, nor shall any transaction be (laid) upon him; he shall be free in his house for a year, that he may cheer (or, may enjoy himself with) his wife whom he hath taken.
When a man shall have taken a wife, and become her husband, and she hath not found favour in his eyes, because he hath found something wrong in her, then he may write for her a bill of divorcement, and give it into her hand, and send her from his house.

The nakedness of thy father’s wife thou shalt not uncover, it is thy father’s nakedness.
Nor with the wife of thy neighbour shalt thou carnally lie to defile her.
And the man who committeth adultery with his neighbour’s wife shall be surely put to death; the adulterer and the adulteress. And a man who lieth with a man as with a woman, both of them have wrought abomination: they are to be surely put to death, of death they are guilty.
They shall not take to wife a woman who is a harlot, or one who is corrupted, nor may they take a woman who hath been put away from her husband; for (the priest is to be) holy before his God.
And he shall take a wife in her virginity; A widow, or a divorced person, or a corrupt harlot, these he shall not take; but a virgin from his people shall he take for a wife.

O Senhor é testemunha do pacto conjugal. Casamentos quebrados podem ser restaurados pelo poder e graça de Deus.

And Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After that I am old shall I have a child, and my lord (being also) old?
And Onan knew that after his name the seed would not be called; and it was that when he went in with the wife of his brother, he corrupted his way upon the earth that he might not raise up seed unto his brother; And what he did was evil before the Lord, and he caused him also to die.
This is the law of jealousy, when a woman hath gone astray from her husband, or when the spirit of jealousy passeth upon a man, and he become jealous of his wife. He shall make the wife stand before the Lord; and the priest shall do for him (according to) all this law.
