In my Father’s house are many dwellings (otherwise I would have told you). I am going away to prepare a place for you.
Cidadania celestial
A nossa cidadania está nos céus. Ajuntai tesouros no céu, não na terra. O céu é a pátria do cristão.
But our citizenship is in Heaven, and it is from there that we eagerly await our Deliverer, Sovereign Jesus Christ;
"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on the earth, where moth and rust ruin and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust ruins and where thieves neither break in nor steal;
So Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me and do not forbid them, for of such is the kingdom of the heavens."
Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come follow me."
The heaven and the earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
Esperança eterna
Seremos arrebatados para encontrar o Senhor nos ares. Ainda não se manifestou o que havemos de ser — mas seremos semelhantes a Ele.
He led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up His hands He blessed them. And it happened, as He was blessing them, that He left them and was carried up into heaven.
Upon saying these things, as they watched, He was lifted up, and a cloud took Him out of their sight.
Because, our wrestling match is not against flesh and blood, enemy. but against the principalities, against the authorities, against the world-rulers of the darkness of this age, against the malignant spirits in the heavenly realms.
