2 In my Father's house are many mansions; if not, I would have told you.
Cidadania celestial
A nossa cidadania está nos céus. Ajuntai tesouros no céu, não na terra. O céu é a pátria do cristão.
20 who mind earthly things) For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ,
19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break thro' and steal:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth consume, and where thieves do not break thro' nor steal.
14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children to come to me, and forbid them not; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
21 Jesus saith to him, If thou desirest to be perfect, go, sell what thou hast and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.
35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
2 Set your affections on the things above, not the things on the earth.
Esperança eterna
Seremos arrebatados para encontrar o Senhor nos ares. Ainda não se manifestou o que havemos de ser — mas seremos semelhantes a Ele.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven, with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first.17 Then we who are alive, who are left, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we be ever with the Lord.
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know, when he shall appear, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.3 And every one that hath this hope in him, purifieth himself even as he is pure.
18 And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom; to whom be the glory for ever, and ever.
50 And he led them out as far as Bethany; and lifting up his hands, he blessed them.51 And while he was blessing them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.
9 And having spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up, and a cloud received him from their sight.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the world, of the darkness of this age, against wicked spirits in heavenly places.
7 For we brought nothing into the world: it is manifest that neither can we carry any thing out.8 Having then food and covering, with these let us be content.
