8 because the one who sows to his flesh will reap destruction from the flesh, but the one who sows to the Spirit  * will reap eternal life  * from the Spirit.

7 Don’t be deceived: God is not mocked. For whatever a person sows he will also reap,

9 Let us not get tired  * of doing good,  * for we will reap at the proper time if we don’t give up.

10 Now the one who provides seed for the sower and bread for food will also provide and multiply your seed and increase the harvest of your righteousness.  *

18 And the fruit of righteousness  * is sown in peace by those who cultivate peace.

11 No discipline seems enjoyable at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it yields the peaceful fruit  * of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.  *

9 Honor the Lord with your possessions

and with the first produce of your entire harvest;  *

10 Bring the full tenth into the storehouse  * so that there may be food in my house.  * Test me in this way,"  * says the Lord of Armies. "See if I will not open the floodgates of heaven  * and pour out a blessing for you without measure.  *

3 "If you follow my statutes and faithfully observe my commands, 4 I will give you rain at the right time, and the land will yield its produce, and the trees of the field will bear their fruit.

26 Consider the birds of the sky: They don’t sow or reap or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you worth more than they?*

12 The grapevine is dried up,  *

and the fig tree is withered;

the pomegranate,  * the date palm,  * and the apple  *  —

all the trees of the orchard — have withered.

Indeed, human joy has dried up.  *

17 Though the fig tree does not bud

and there is no fruit on the vines,

though the olive crop fails

and the fields produce no food,

though the flocks disappear from the pen

and there are no herds in the stalls,

18 yet I will celebrate in the  Lord;

I will rejoice in the God of my salvation!  *
