13 As a father pitieth {his} children, so Jehovah pitieth them that fear him.

15 But thou, Lord, art a *God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in goodness and truth.

3 For thy loving-kindness is better than life: my lips shall praise thee.

22 It is of Jehovah's loving-kindness we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not;23 they are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Even these forget, but I will not forget thee.16 Lo, I have graven thee upon the palms of {my} hands; thy walls are continually before me.

18 And therefore will Jehovah wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he lift himself up, that he may have mercy upon you; for Jehovah is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.

18 Who is a *God like unto thee, that forgiveth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? He retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in loving-kindness.

6 And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them back again; for I will have mercy upon them; and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am Jehovah their God, and I will answer them.

9 Thus speaketh Jehovah of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew loving-kindness and mercies one to another,10 and oppress not the widow and the fatherless, the stranger and the afflicted; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.

12 Put on therefore, as {the} elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness, longsuffering;

32 and be to one another kind, compassionate, forgiving one another, so as God also in Christ has forgiven you.

8 Finally, {be} all of one mind, sympathising, full of brotherly love, tender hearted, humble minded;

17 But whoso may have the world's substance, and see his brother having need, and shut up his bowels from him, how abides the love of God in him?

3 Blessed {be} the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassions, and God of all encouragement;4 who encourages us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to encourage those who are in any tribulation whatever, through the encouragement with which we ourselves are encouraged of God.

15 For we have not a high priest not able to sympathise with our infirmities, but tempted in all things in like manner, sin apart.

15 Rejoice with those that rejoice, weep with those that weep.

11 For the rest, brethren, rejoice; be perfected; be encouraged; be of one mind; be at peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
