Compaixão
A compaixão é o coração de Deus em ação. Ele é compassivo e misericordioso, tardio em irar-se e grande em amor. Somos chamados a refletir essa compaixão no mundo.
As a father has mercy on sons, || YHWH has mercy on those fearing Him.
And You, O Lord, [are] God, merciful and gracious, || Slow to anger, and abundant in kindness and truth.
Because better [is] Your kindness than life, || My lips praise You.
The kindnesses of YHWH! For we have not been consumed, || For His mercies have not ended. New every morning, abundant [is] Your faithfulness.
"Does a woman forget her suckling, || The loved one—the son of her womb? Indeed, these forget—but I do not forget you. Behold, I have carved you on the palms of the hand, || Your walls [are] continually before Me.
And therefore YHWH waits to favor you, || And therefore He is exalted to pity you, || For YHWH [is] a God of judgment, || O the blessedness of all waiting for Him.
Who [is] a God like You? Taking away iniquity, || And passing by the transgression of the remnant of His inheritance, || He has not retained His anger forever, || Because He delights [in] kindness.
And I have made the house of Judah mighty, || And I save the house of Joseph, || And I have caused them to dwell, for I have loved them, || And they have been as [if] I had not cast them off, || For I [am] their God YHWH, || And I answer them.
"Thus spoke YHWH of Hosts, saying, || Judge [with] true judgment, || And do kindness and mercy with one another. And do not oppress widow, and fatherless, || Sojourner, and poor, || And you do not devise the calamity of one another in your heart.
Put on, therefore, as chosen ones of God, holy and beloved, yearnings of mercies, kindness, humble-mindedness, meekness, long-suffering,
and become kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, according as God also forgave you in Christ.
And finally, be all of one mind, having fellow-feeling, loving as brothers, compassionate, courteous,
and whoever may have the goods of the world, and may view his brother having need, and may shut up his yearnings from him—how does the love of God remain in him?
Blessed [is] God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and God of all comfort, who is comforting us in all our tribulation, for our being able to comfort those in any tribulation through the comfort with which we are comforted ourselves by God;
for we do not have a Chief Priest unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but [One] tempted in all things in like manner, [yet] without sin;
to rejoice with the rejoicing, and to weep with the weeping,
From now on, brothers, rejoice; be made perfect, be comforted, be of the same mind, be at peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.
