But you, Lord, are a merciful and gracious God,
slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth.(Psalms 86:15)
Who is a God like you, who pardons iniquity,
and passes over the disobedience of the remnant of his heritage?
He doesn’t retain his anger forever,
because he delights in loving kindness.(Micah 7:18)
It is because of Yahweh’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed,
because his mercies don’t fail.
They are new every morning.
Great is your faithfulness.(Lamentations 3:22,23)
Therefore Yahweh will wait, that he may be gracious to you; and therefore he will be exalted, that he may have mercy on you, for Yahweh is a God of justice. Blessed are all those who wait for him.(Isaiah 30:18)
Like a father has compassion on his children,
so Yahweh has compassion on those who fear him.(Psalms 103:13)
"Can a woman forget her nursing child,
that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb?
Yes, these may forget,
yet I will not forget you!
Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.
Your walls are continually before me.(Isaiah 49:15,16)
Because your loving kindness is better than life,
my lips shall praise you.(Psalms 63:3)
"I will strengthen the house of Judah,
and I will save the house of Joseph.
I will bring them back,
for I have mercy on them.
They will be as though I had not cast them off,
for I am Yahweh their God, and I will hear them.(Zechariah 10:6)
For we don’t have a high priest who can’t be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin.(Hebrews 4:15)
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.(2 Corinthians 1:3,4)
"Thus has Yahweh of Armies spoken, saying, ‘Execute true judgment, and show kindness and compassion every man to his brother. Don’t oppress the widow, the fatherless, the foreigner, nor the poor; and let none of you devise evil against his brother in your heart.’(Zechariah 7:9,10)
But whoever has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, then closes his heart of compassion against him, how does God’s love remain in him?(1 John 3:17)
Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance;(Colossians 3:12)
And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.(Ephesians 4:32)
Rejoice with those who rejoice. Weep with those who weep.(Romans 12:15)
Finally, all of you be like-minded, compassionate, loving as brothers, tenderhearted, courteous,(1 Peter 3:8)
Finally, brothers, rejoice! Be perfected. Be comforted. Be of the same mind. Live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.(2 Corinthians 13:11)
