41 So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand *souls. 42 They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to *prayer.

43 *Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many wonders and *signs were taking place through the apostles. 44 And all the believers *were together and had all things in common; 45 and they would sell their property and possessions and share them with all, to the extent that anyone had need. 46 Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread *from house to house, they were taking their *meals together with gladness and *sincerity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to *their number day by day those who were being saved.

24 and let’s consider how to *encourage one another in love and good deeds, 25 not abandoning our own meeting together, as is the habit of some people, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

The Excellency of Brotherly Unity.

1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is

For brothers to live together in unity!

2 It is like the precious oil on the head,

Running down upon the beard,

As on Aaron’s beard,

The oil which ran down upon the edge of his robes.

3 It is like the dew of Hermon

Coming down upon the mountains of Zion;

For the Lord commanded the blessing there—life forever.

14 We who had sweet *fellowship together,

Walked in the house of God among the commotion.

9 Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor; 10 for if *either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not *another to lift him up! 11 Furthermore, if two lie down together they *keep warm, but how can one be warm alone?12 And if *one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart.

22 Since you have purified your souls in obedience to the truth for a sincere love of the brothers and sisters, fervently love one another from *the heart,

9 Be hospitable to one another without complaint.

10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; *give preference to one another in honor,

Be like Christ

1 Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any *affection and compassion, 2 make my joy complete *by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose.

16 Let the word of *Christ richly dwell within you, *with all wisdom teaching and admonishing *one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

32 Be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven *you.

13 For you were called to freedom, brothers and sisters; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but serve one another through love.

11 Therefore, *encourage one another and build one another up, just as you also are doing.

6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; 7 but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.

11 Finally, brothers and sisters,*rejoice, mend your ways, be comforted, be like-minded, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.

34 I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
