Confia no Senhor de todo o coração. Não te apoies em teu próprio entendimento — em todos os caminhos o reconheça.
Trust in God with all thine heart; and be not exalted in thine own wisdom. In all thy ways acquaint thyself with her, that she may rightly direct thy paths.

It is a good thing to give thanks to the Lord, and to sing praises to thy name, O thou Most High; to proclaim thy mercy in the morning, and thy truth by night, on a psaltery of ten strings, with a song on the harp.

When the Lord turned the captivity of Sion, we became as comforted ones. Then was our mouth filled with joy, and our tongue with exultation: then would they say among the Gentiles,
who lifts up the poor from the earth, and raises up the needy from the dunghill;
For thy weapons are fixed in me, and thou hast pressed thy hand heavily upon me.
For there is no health in my flesh because of thine anger; there is no peace to my bones because of my sins. For my transgressions have gone over mine head: they have pressed heavily upon me like a weighty burden. My bruises have become noisome and corrupt, because of my foolishness.
The Lord also is become a refuge for the poor, a seasonable help, in affliction.
Segurança em Deus
Bem-aventurado o homem que confia no Senhor. Ele é como árvore plantada junto às águas — não temerá quando vier o calor.
But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord shall be. And he shall be as a thriving tree by the waters, and he shall cast forth his root toward a moist place: he shall not fear when heat comes, and there shall be upon him shady branches: he shall not fear in a year of drought, and he shall not fail to bear fruit.
they have trusted with confidence for ever, the great, the eternal God;
Behold, my God is my Saviour; I will trust in him, and not be afraid: for the Lord is my glory and my praise, and is become my salvation.
Truth has sprung out of the earth; and righteousness has looked down from heaven.

Não confiar no homem
Não temas — em ti confiarei. Melhor é confiar no Senhor do que confiar no homem ou nos príncipes.
O Lord, I will give thanks to thee among the nations: I will sing to thee among the Gentiles. For thy mercy has been magnified even to the heavens, and thy truth to the clouds.
There were they alarmed with fear, where there was no fear; for God is in the righteous generation.
May the Lord help him upon the bed of his pain; thou hast made all his bed in his sickness.
