Consequências dos nossos atos
Toda ação tem consequências. A Bíblia ensina que colhemos o que semeamos — para o bem e para o mal. Deus pesará cada palavra e ato no dia do juízo.
Colher o que semear
Cada um prestará contas de si mesmo a Deus. O Senhor julgará as obras e os segredos dos homens com justiça perfeita.
And so, each of us must give an account to God for what we do.
God will reward each of us for what we have done. He will give eternal life to everyone who has patiently done what is good in the hope of receiving glory, honor, and life that lasts forever. But he will show how angry and furious he can be with every selfish person who rejects the truth and wants to do evil. All who are wicked will be punished with trouble and suffering. It doesn’t matter if they are Jews or Gentiles. But all who do right will be rewarded with glory, honor, and peace, whether they are Jews or Gentiles. God doesn’t have any favorites!
There is a lot of difference between Adam’s sin and God’s gift. That one sin led to punishment. But God’s gift made it possible for us to be acceptable to him, even though we have sinned many times. Death ruled like a king because Adam had sinned. But that cannot compare with what Jesus Christ has done. God has treated us with undeserved grace, and he has accepted us because of Jesus. And so we will live and rule like kings.
Judging Others
Don’t condemn others, and God won’t condemn you. God will be as hard on you as you are on others! He will treat you exactly as you treat them.
I promise you on the day of judgment, everyone will have to account for every careless word they have spoken.
God’s word is alive and powerful! It is sharper than any double-edged sword. His word can cut through our spirits and souls and through our joints and marrow, until it discovers the desires and thoughts of our hearts. Nothing is hidden from God! He sees through everything, and we will have to tell him the truth.

When you see trouble coming,
don’t be stupid
and walk right into it—
be smart and hide.
Good sense is good for you,
but if you brag,
you hurt yourself.
Don’t fall into the trap
of making promises to God
before you think!
If you refuse to testify in court about something you saw or know has happened, you have sinned and can be punished.
If you break any of my commands without meaning to, you are still guilty, and you can be punished. When you realize what you have done, you must either bring to the priest a ram that has nothing wrong with it or else pay him for one. The priest will then offer it as a sacrifice to make things right, and you will be forgiven.
Don’t hold grudges. On the other hand, it’s wrong not to correct someone who needs correcting.
Consequências inevitáveis
A terra deu seu fruto conforme as obras dos que nela habitam. Ninguém escapa do juízo — Deus pesa cada ação.
Those nations will suffer disaster
because of what they did.
You will be punished for becoming prostitutes and for worshiping idols. Then you will know that I am the Lord God.
I created humans to be like me, and I will punish any animal or person that takes a human life. If an animal kills someone, that animal must die. And if a person takes the life of another, that person must be put to death.
The wicked don’t respect you.
In their hearts they say,
"God won’t punish us!"
But you see the trouble
and the distress,
and you will do something.
The poor can count on you,
and so can orphans.
