16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor*,*to be with you forever.

18 "I will not leave you as orphans; I am coming to you.

26 But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit,*whom the Father will send*in my name, will teach you all things*and remind you of everything I have told you.*

26 "When the Counselor*comes, the one I will send to you from the Father*— the Spirit of truth*who proceeds from the Father — he will testify about me.

7 Nevertheless, I am telling you the truth.*It is for your benefit that I go away, because if I don’t go away the Counselor will not come to you. If I go, I will send him to you.*

3 Blessed be  * the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies  * and the God of all comfort.  *4 He comforts us in all our affliction,  * so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any kind of affliction, through the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

5 For just as the sufferings  * of Christ  * overflow to us, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.  *

5 Now may the God who gives  * endurance and encouragement  * grant you to live in harmony with one another,  * according to Christ Jesus,

19 When I am filled with cares,

your comfort brings me joy.  *

5 I called to the Lord in distress;  *

the Lord answered me

and put me in a spacious place.  *,*

16 They will no longer hunger;

they will no longer thirst;

the sun will no longer strike them,

nor will any scorching heat.  *

17 For the Lamb who is at the center of the throne

will shepherd them;  *

he will guide them to springs of the waters of life,  *

and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.  *

12 I — I am the one who comforts you.

Who are you that you should fear humans who die,  *

or a son of man who is given up like grass?  *

4 Blessed are those who mourn,*

for they will be comforted.
