O contentamento é a arte de estar satisfeito com o que Deus provê. Não é conformismo, mas confiança de que Deus supre toda necessidade segundo suas riquezas.
Aprender a estar contente
Aprendi a viver contente em toda situação. O contentamento com a piedade é grande fonte de lucro.
Livre da avareza
Guardai-vos da ganância. Seja o viver sem cobiça, contentando-vos com o que tendes. Deus nunca nos desamparará.
He that seeks the Lord shall find knowledge with righteousness:
And they that rightly seek him shall find peace.
Paz e confiança
Quando sou fraco, sou forte. Na presença de Deus encontramos contentamento que o mundo não pode oferecer.
So Job arose, and rent his garments,
And shaved the hair of his head,
And fell on the earth, and worshiped, and said,
I myself came forth naked from my mother’s womb,
And naked shall I return thither:
The Lord gave, the Lord has taken away:
As it seemed good to the Lord, so has it come to pass;
Blessed be the name of the Lord.
