Convicção
A convicção cristã é firmeza de fé que não se abala diante da oposição. É a certeza interior que compele a proclamar a verdade com ousadia, independentemente das consequências.
Ousadia para falar
Recebereis poder e sereis minhas testemunhas. A convicção do Espírito nos equipa para proclamar com coragem e sem vergonha.
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
The Boldness of the Disciples
When they observed the boldness of Peter and John and realized that they were uneducated and untrained men, they were amazed and recognized that they had been with Jesus.
Peter and the apostles replied, "We must obey God rather than people.
Pray also for me, that the message may be given to me when I open my mouth to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel. For this I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I might be bold enough to speak about it as I should.
The Righteous Will Live by Faith
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, , because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek.
For whoever is ashamedof me and my wordsin this adulterous and sinfulgeneration,the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when he comes in the gloryof his Fatherwith the holyangels."
Not Ashamed of the Gospel
So don’t be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, or of me his prisoner. Instead, share in suffering for the gospel, relying on the power of God.
Proclaim these things; encourage and rebuke with all authority. Let no one disregard you.
Firmeza e confiança
Não temas diante dos homens. A Palavra de Deus é fogo na boca do profeta e firmeza na vida do crente.
Then the Lord said to me:
Do not say, "I am only a youth,"
for you will go to everyone I send you to
and speak whatever I tell you.
Zion, herald of good news,
go up on a high mountain.
Jerusalem, herald of good news,
raise your voice loudly.
Raise it, do not be afraid!
Say to the cities of Judah,
"Here is your God! "
The Obedient Servant
The Lord God has given me
the tongue of those who are instructed
to know how to sustain the weary with a word.
He awakens me each morning;
he awakens my ear to listen like those being instructed.
I have made your forehead like a diamond, harder than flint. Don’t be afraid of them or discouraged by the look on their faces, though they are a rebellious house."
I will speak of your decrees before kings
and not be ashamed.
Conduct yourselves honorably among the Gentiles, so that when they slander you as evildoers, they will observe your good works and will glorify God on the day he visits.
The fear of mankind is a snare,
but the one who trusts in the Lord is protected. ,
Instead, just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not to please people, but rather God, who examines our hearts.
"You are the light of the world. A city situated on a hill cannot be hidden.No one lights a lampand puts it under a basket, but rather on a lampstand, and it gives light for all who are in the house.In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.
