8 but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and as far as the remotest part of the earth."

13 Now as they observed the confidence of Peter and John and understood that they were uneducated and untrained men, they were amazed, and began to recognize them *as having been with Jesus.

29 But Peter and the apostles answered, "We must obey God rather than men.

19 and pray in my behalf, that speech may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in *chains; that *in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

38 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels."

8 Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord or of me His prisoner, but join with me in suffering for the gospel according to the power of God,

15 These things speak and *exhort, and rebuke with all authority. No one is to disregard you.

7 But the Lord said to me,

"Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’

Because everywhere I send you, you shall go,

And all that I command you, you shall speak.

9 Go up on a high mountain,

Zion, messenger of good news,

Raise your voice forcefully,

Jerusalem, messenger of good news;

Raise it up, do not fear.

Say to the cities of Judah,

"Here is your God!"

4 The Lord *God has given Me the tongue of disciples,

So that I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word.

He awakens Me morning by morning,

He awakens My ear to listen as a disciple.

9 Like emery harder than flint I have made your forehead. Do not be afraid of them or be dismayed before them, since they are a rebellious house."

46 I will also speak of Your testimonies before kings

And shall not be ashamed.

12 Keep your behavior excellent among the Gentiles, so that in the thing in which they slander you as evildoers, they may *because of your good deeds, as they observe them, glorify God on the day of *visitation.

25 The fear of man *brings a snare,

But one who trusts in the Lord will be protected.

4 but just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not intending to please people, but to please God, who *examines our hearts.

14 "You are the light of the world. A city set on a *hill cannot be hidden;15 nor do people light a lamp and put it under a *basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.16 Your light must shine before people in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
