3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit,

for theirs is the kingdom of the heavens.

4 Blessed are those who mourn,

for they will be comforted.

5 Blessed are the meek,*

for they will inherit the earth.

10 Now godly sorrow produces repentance into salvation without regret, but the world’s sorrow produces death.*

11 Just consider your own being caused to sorrow in a godly manner, how much diligence it produced in you—what self-defense, what indignation, what alarm, what longing, what zeal, what punishment! At every point you have demonstrated yourselves to be clear in the matter.

9 But He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more cheerfully about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may take up residence upon me.*
