Corpo de Cristo
A Igreja é o Corpo de Cristo — organismo vivo onde cada membro tem função única e indispensável. Cristo é a cabeça; nós somos seus membros.
Um corpo, muitos membros
Assim como o corpo é um e tem muitos membros, assim é Cristo. Nós somos o corpo de Cristo e individualmente seus membros.
One Body with Many Members
For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members constitute one body even though they are many, so it is with Christ.
Now you are the body of Christ, and individually members of it.
Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then pt ¦ make the members of Christ 𝔐pttake the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Certainly not!

There is one body and one Spirit (just as you were called to one hope at your calling),
From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting joint, grows and builds itself up in love as each individual part does its work.
Cristo, a cabeça
Ele é a cabeça do corpo, que é a igreja. O corpo cresce e se edifica em amor quando cada parte faz o seu trabalho.
He is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that in everything he may be preeminent.
Paul’s Labor for the Church
I rejoice now in my sufferings for you, and in my flesh I am filling up what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church.
Let the peace of God rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
For no one has ever hated his own flesh, but he nourishes and cares for it, just as the Lord does for the church, because we are members of his body, of his flesh and of his bones.
