O corpo do cristão é templo de Deus. Ele habita em nós pelo Espírito Santo, fazendo do crente morada viva e sagrada do Altíssimo.

Vós sois o templo do Deus vivo. Deus disse: habitarei neles e entre eles andarei. O criador mora em sua criação redimida.
Don’t you yourselves know that you are God’s temple and that the Spirit of God lives in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, and that is what you are.

So, then, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with the saints, and members of God’s household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone. In him the whole building, being put together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you are also being built together for God’s dwelling in the Spirit.
Now every house is built by someone, but the one who built everything is God. Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s household, as a testimony to what would be said in the future. But Christ was faithful as a Son over his household. And we are that household if we hold on to our confidence and the hope in which we boast. ,

Já não sou eu quem vive, mas Cristo vive em mim. A presença de Deus no crente é privilégio e responsabilidade sagrada.
