16 *Do you not know that you* are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? 17 If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For *God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.

19 Or *do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? *You are not your own, 20 *for you were bought with a price. *So glorify God in your body.

16 What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For *we are the temple of the living God; as God said,

*"I will make my dwelling among them and *walk among them,

and *I will be their God,

and they shall be my people.

19 So then you are no longer *strangers and aliens,* but you are *fellow citizens with the saints and *members of the household of God, 20 *built on the foundation of the *apostles and prophets, *Christ Jesus himself being *the cornerstone, 21 *in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into *a holy temple in the Lord. 22 In him *you also are being built together *into a dwelling place for God by* the Spirit.

4 (For every house is built by someone, but *the builder of all things is God.) 5 *Now Moses was faithful in all God’s house *as a servant, *to testify to the things that were to be spoken later, 6 but Christ is faithful over God’s house as *a son. And *we are his house, if indeed we *hold fast our confidence and our boasting in our hope.*

20 I have been *crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives *in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, *who loved me and *gave himself for me.

23 Jesus answered him, *"If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and *we will come to him and *make our home with him.

19 *Therefore, brothers,* since we have confidence to enter *the holy places by the blood of Jesus, 20 by *the new and living way that he opened for us through *the curtain, that is, through his flesh, 21 and since we have *a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts *sprinkled clean *from an evil conscience and our bodies *washed with pure water.

9 But you are *a chosen race, *a royal *priesthood, *a holy nation, *a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you *out of darkness into *his marvelous light.
