Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.(1 Corinthians 6:19,20)
For you formed my inmost being.
You knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I will give thanks to you,
for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Your works are wonderful.
My soul knows that very well.(Psalms 139:13,14)
For bodily exercise has some value, but godliness has value in all things, having the promise of the life which is now and of that which is to come.(1 Timothy 4:8)
A cheerful heart makes good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.(Proverbs 17:22)
Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? (Matthew 6:25)
Watch and pray, that you don’t enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."(Matthew 26:41)
My flesh and my heart fails,
but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.(Psalms 73:26)
Therefore we don’t faint, but though our outward person is decaying, yet our inward person is renewed day by day.(2 Corinthians 4:16)
Yahweh God made a woman from the rib which he had taken from the man, and brought her to the man. The man said, "This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh. She will be called ‘woman,’ because she was taken out of Man." Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh.(Genesis 2:22-24)
For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members don’t have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another,(Romans 12:4,5)
