Dar é princípio do Reino de Deus. Jesus deu tudo — até a própria vida. A Bíblia nos ensina que é mais bem-aventurado dar do que receber, e que Deus ama ao que dá com alegria.
Dar com alegria
Deus ama ao que dá com alegria. Dai e dar-se-vos-á. O generoso prospera e quem abençoa será abençoado.
Princípios de generosidade
Honra ao Senhor com as tuas primícias. Não negues o bem a quem o merece. A alma generosa prosperará.
O ensino de Jesus
Quando deres esmola, não toque a trombeta. A generosidade do coração importa mais que a grandeza do donativo.
When therefore thou doest alms, sound not a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have received their reward.
But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: that thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father who seeth in secret himself shall recompense thee openly.
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons: freely ye received, freely give.
Jesus said unto him, If thou wouldest be perfect, go, sell that which thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
