5 *If any of you lacks wisdom, *let him ask God, *who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

14 And this is *the confidence that we have toward him, that *if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.

and like a high wall in his imagination.

12 *Before destruction a man’s heart is haughty,

but *humility comes before honor.

13 If one gives an answer *before he hears,

it is his folly and shame.

14 A man’s spirit will endure sickness,

but *a crushed spirit who can bear?

16 *All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,

17 that *the man of God* may be complete, *equipped *for every good work.

7 And when they had come up to Mysia, they attempted to go into Bithynia, but *the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them.

1 Now there were in the church at Antioch *prophets and *teachers, *Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger,* Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen a lifelong friend of *Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. 2 While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, *the Holy Spirit said, *"Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul *for the work to which I have called them." 3 Then after fasting and *praying they laid their hands on them and *sent them off.

31 So, whether you eat or drink, or *whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

And you have kept for him this great and steadfast love and *have given him a son to sit on his throne this day. 7 And now, O Lord my God, *you have made your servant king in place of David my father, *although I am but a little child. I do not know *how to go out or come in. 8 *And your servant is in the midst of your people whom you have chosen, a great people, *too many to be numbered or counted for multitude. 9 *Give your servant therefore an understanding mind *to govern your people, that I may *discern between good and evil, for who is able to govern this your great people?"

10 It pleased the Lord that Solomon had asked this. 11 And God said to him, "Because you have asked this, and have not asked for yourself long life or riches or the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern what is right, 12 behold, *I now do according to your word. Behold, *I give you a wise and discerning mind, so that none like you has been before you and none like you shall arise after you.

9 Then his wife said to him, "Do you still *hold fast your integrity? *Curse God and die." 10 But he said to her, "You speak as one of the *foolish women would speak. *Shall we receive good from God, and shall we not receive evil?"**In all this Job did not *sin with his lips.
