Tomar uma decisão
Tomar decisões com sabedoria é um dos maiores desafios da vida. A Bíblia nos ensina a buscar a Deus em oração, na Palavra e no conselho, confiando que Ele dirige os nossos passos.
Buscar a Deus
Se algum de vós tem falta de sabedoria, peça a Deus. Ele dá generosamente e sem repreensão a todos os que pedem.
And if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask from God, who is giving to all generously, and not reproaching, and it will be given to him;
And this is the boldness that we have toward Him, that if we may ask anything according to His will, He hears us,
if we may confess our sins, He is steadfast and righteous that He may forgive us the sins, and may cleanse us from every unrighteousness;
Trust to YHWH with all your heart, || And do not lean to your own understanding. In all your ways know Him, || And He makes your paths straight.
In all your ways know Him, || And He makes your paths straight.
For I have known the thoughts that I am thinking toward you—a declaration of YHWH; thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give posterity and hope to you.
Conselho e direção
Onde não há conselho os planos se frustam. Toda Escritura é útil para nos guiar nas decisões da vida.
Without counsels a people falls, || And deliverance [is] in a multitude of counselors.
The lot is cast into the center, || And all its judgment [is] from YHWH!
He who is separated seeks [his own] desire, || He interferes with all wisdom. A fool does not delight in understanding, || But in uncovering his heart. Contempt has also come with the coming of the wicked, || And with shame—reproach. The words of a man’s mouth [are] deep waters, || The fountain of wisdom [is] a flowing brook. Favoring of the face of the wicked [is] not good, || To turn aside the righteous in judgment. The lips of a fool enter into strife, || And his mouth calls for stripes. The mouth of a fool [is] ruin to him, || And his lips [are] the snare of his soul. The words of a tale-bearer [are] as self-inflicted wounds, || And they have gone down [to] the inner parts of the heart. He also that is remiss in his work, || He [is] a brother to a destroyer. The Name of YHWH [is] a tower of strength, || The righteous runs into it, and is set on high. The wealth of the rich [is] the city of his strength, || And as a wall set on high in his own imagination. The heart of man is high before destruction, || And humility [is] before honor. Whoever is answering a matter before he hears, || It is folly to him—and shame. The spirit of a man sustains his sickness, || And who bears a struck spirit?
Every Writing [is] God-breathed, and profitable for teaching, for conviction, for correction, for instruction that [is] in righteousness,
that the man of God may be fitted—having been completed for every good work.
having gone toward Mysia, they were trying to go on toward Bithynia, and the Spirit did not permit them,
And there were certain in Antioch, in the assembly there, prophets and teachers: both Barnabas, and Simeon who is called Niger, and Lucius the Cyrenian, Manaen also—Herod the tetrarch’s foster-brother—and Saul; and in their ministering to the LORD and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Separate to Me both Barnabas and Saul to the work to which I have called them," then having fasted, and having prayed, and having laid the hands on them, they sent [them] away.
Confiar e seguir
Seja o que for que façais, fazei tudo para a glória de Deus. O sábio ouve a Deus antes de agir.
Whether, then, you eat, or drink, or do anything, do all to the glory of God;
Therefore, we also having so great a cloud of witnesses set around us, having put off every weight, and the closely besetting sin, may we run the contest that is set before us through endurance,
YHWH has appeared to Solomon in Gibeon, in a dream of the night, and God says, "Ask—what do I give to you?" And Solomon says, "You have done with Your servant, my father David, great kindness, as he walked before You in truth and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You, and You keep this great kindness for him, and give to him a son sitting on his throne, as [at] this day. And now, O YHWH my God, You have caused Your servant to reign instead of my father David; and I [am] a little child, I do not know [how] to go out and to come in; and Your servant [is] in the midst of your people, whom You have chosen, a people numerous, that is not numbered nor counted for multitude, and You have given an understanding heart to Your servant, to judge Your people, to discern between good and evil; for who is able to judge this great people of Yours?" And the thing is good in the eyes of the Lord, that Solomon has asked this thing, and God says to him, "Because that you have asked for this thing, and have not asked for many days for yourself, nor asked for riches for yourself, nor asked for the life of your enemies, and have asked for discernment for yourself to understand judgment, behold, I have done according to your words; behold, I have given a wise and understanding heart to you, that there has not been [one] like you before you, and after you there does not arise [one] like you;
And his wife says to him, "You are still keeping hold on your integrity: bless God and die." And he says to her, "As one of the foolish women speaks, you speak; indeed, do we receive the good from God, and we do not receive the bad?" In all this Job has not sinned with his lips.
