A Prayer of David.
Hearken, O Lord of my righteousness,
Attend to my petition;
Give ear to my prayer not uttered with deceitful lips.
Keep me as the apple of the eye
From those that resist thy right hand:
Thou shalt screen me by the covering of thy wings,
A Song of Degrees.
Blessed are all they that fear the Lord;
Who walk in his ways.
Thou art more beautiful than the sons of men:
Grace has been shed forth on thy lips:
Therefore God has blessed thee forever.
The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
Depender do Senhor
Confia no Senhor de todo o coração e não te estribes no teu próprio entendimento. Em todos os caminhos o reconhece.
Trust in God with all thy heart;
And be not exalted in thine own wisdom.
In all thy ways acquaint thyself with her,
That she may rightly direct thy paths.
All the works of the Lord are done with righteousness;
And the ungodly man is kept for the evil day.
There are many thoughts in a man’s heart;
But the counsel of the Lord abides forever.
The blessing of the Lord is upon the head of the righteous;
It enriches him, and grief of heart shall not be added to it.
A Song of Degrees.
I was glad when they said to me,
Let us go into the house of the Lord.
Our feet stood
In thy courts, O Jerusalem.
Jerusalem is built as a city
Whose fellowship is complete.
O that my ways were directed
To keep thine ordinances.
A Psalm for David on the first day of the week.
The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof;
The world, and all that dwell in it.
He has founded it upon the seas,
And prepared it upon the rivers.
Contentamento e confiança
Aprendi a viver contente em toda situação. A dependência de Deus nos livra da ansiedade e nos firma na paz.
For I am thy God, who holdeth thy right hand, who saith to thee,
He gives strength to the hungry, and sorrow to them that are not suffering.
But who am I, and what is my people, that we have been able to be thus forward in offering to thee? for all things are thine, and of thine own have we given thee,
