Let no man, being tempted, say, I am tempted of God. For God cannot be tempted by evil things, and himself tempts no one.(James 1:13)
Ye lust and have not: ye kill and are full of envy, and cannot obtain; ye fight and war; ye have not because ye ask not.(James 4:2)
What shall we say then? is the law sin? Far be the thought. But I had not known sin, unless by law: for I had not had conscience also of lust unless the law had said, Thou shalt not lust;(Romans 7:7)
But I say, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall no way fulfil flesh’s lust.(Galatians 5:16)
For ye have been called to liberty, brethren; only do not turn liberty into an opportunity to the flesh, but by love serve one another.(Galatians 5:13)
Put to death therefore your members which are upon the earth, fornication, uncleanness, vile passions, evil lust, and unbridled desire, which is idolatry.(Colossians 3:5)
because all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.(1 John 2:16)
And the world is passing, and its lust, but he that does the will of God abides for eternity.(1 John 2:17)
I made a covenant with mine eyes; and how should I fix my regard upon a maid?(Job 31:1)
Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be scorched?(Proverbs 6:28)
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is ready, but the flesh weak.(Matthew 26:41)
and lead us not into temptation, but save us from evil.(Matthew 6:13)
Be vigilant, watch. Your adversary the devil as a roaring lion walks about seeking whom he may devour.(1 Peter 5:8)
All things are lawful to me, but all things do not profit; all things are lawful to me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.(1 Corinthians 6:12)
but on account of fornications, let each have his own wife, and each woman have her own husband.(1 Corinthians 7:2)
Let marriage be held every way in honour, and the bed be undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers will God judge.(Hebrews 13:4)
For the love of money is the root of every evil; which some having aspired after, have wandered from the faith, and pierced themselves with many sorrows.(1 Timothy 6:10)
wilt thou set thine eyes upon it, it is gone; for indeed it maketh itself wings and it flieth away as an eagle towards the heavens.(Proverbs 23:5)
He coveteth greedily all the day long; but the righteous giveth and spareth not.(Proverbs 21:26)
No temptation has taken you but such as is according to man’s nature; and God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above what ye are able to bear, but will with the temptation make the issue also, so that yeshould be able to bear it.(1 Corinthians 10:13)
Brethren, if even a man be taken in some fault, ye who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of meekness, considering thyself lest thou also be tempted.(Galatians 6:1)
As the hart panteth after the water-brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God(Psalms 42:1)
Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O Jehovah, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to thy memorial.(Isaiah 26:8)
through which he has given to us the greatest and precious promises, that through these ye may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.(2 Peter 1:4)
for where thy treasure is, there will be also thy heart.(Matthew 6:21)
