7 My dear friends, we must love each other. Love comes from God, and when we love each other, it shows we have been given new life. We are now God’s children, and we know him. 8 God is love, and anyone who doesn’t love others has never known him.

10 Real love isn’t our love for God, but his love for us. God sent his Son to be the sacrifice by which our sins are forgiven.

15 God stays one with everyone who openly says Jesus is the Son of God. This is how we stay one with God 16 and are sure God loves us.

God is love. If we keep on loving others, we will stay one in our hearts with God, and he will stay one with us.

19 We love because God loved us first.

16 God loved the people of this world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who has faith in him will have eternal life and never really die.

8 But God showed how much he loved us by having Christ die for us, even though we were sinful.

4,5 But God was merciful! We were dead because of our sins, but God loved us so much he made us alive with Christ, and God’s gift of undeserved grace is what saves you.

15 But you, the Lord God,

are kind and merciful.

You don’t easily get angry,

and your love

can always be trusted.

7 Your love is a treasure,

and everyone finds shelter

in the shadow of your wings.

3 Your love means more

than life to me,

and I praise you.

1 *Praise the Lord! He is good.

God’s love never fails.

18 Our God, no one is like you.

We are all that is left

of your chosen people,

and you freely forgive

our sin and guilt.

You don’t stay angry forever;

you’re glad to have pity

11 Goodbye, my friends. Do better and pay attention to what I have said. Try to get along and live peacefully with each other.

Now I pray that God, who gives love and peace, will be with you.
