Deus é amor — esta é a declaração mais profunda da Bíblia sobre a natureza divina. Tudo que Deus faz nasce do amor. Quem permanece no amor permanece em Deus.
A natureza de Deus
Deus é amor. Quem permanece no amor, permanece em Deus e Deus nele. Ele nos amou primeiro com amor eterno.
7 Beloved, let us love one another; for love is from God: and every one who loves, has been begotten by God, and knows God.8 He who does not love, does not know God; for God is love.
10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent forth his Son to be a propitiation for our sins.
15 Whoever will confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.16 And we have known, and believed the love which God has in us. God is love; wherefore, he who abides in love, abides in God, and God in him.
19 We love him, because he first loved us.
16 for God has so loved the world, as to give his own begotten Son, that whosoever believes on him, may not perish, but obtain eternal life.
O amor de Deus revelado
Deus prova o seu amor em que Cristo morreu por nós quando ainda éramos pecadores. Seu amor é compassivo e eterno.
8 But God recommends his love to us; because, while we were yet sinner, Christ died for us.
4 But God being rich in mercy, through his great love with which he loved us,5 even us, who were dead in trespasses, he has made alive together with Christ; (by favor you are saved;)
11 Finally, brethren, farewell: be perfect: comfort yourselves: mind the same thing: live in peace: and the God of love and peace will be with you.
