God Is Love

7 Beloved, let’s love one another; for love is from God, and everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 The one who does not love does not know God, because God is love.

10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the *propitiation for our sins.

15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him, and he in God. 16 We have come to know and have believed the love which God has *for us. God is love, and the one who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.

19 We love, because He first loved us.

16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.

8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead *in our wrongdoings, made us alive together *with Christ (by grace you have been saved),

15 But You, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God,

Slow to anger and abundant in mercy and *truth.

7 How precious is Your mercy, God!

And the sons of mankind take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.

3 Because Your *favor is better than life,

My lips will praise You.

Thanks for the Lord’s Goodness to Israel.

1 Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good,

For His *faithfulness is everlasting.

18 Who is a God like You, who pardons wrongdoing

And passes over a rebellious act of the remnant of His *possession?

He does not retain His anger forever,

Because He delights in mercy.

11 Finally, brothers and sisters,*rejoice, mend your ways, be comforted, be like-minded, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.
