9 I’ve commanded you to be strong and brave. Don’t ever be afraid or discouraged! I am the Lord your God, and I will be there to help you wherever you go.

5 *Joshua, I will always be with you and help you as I helped Moses, and no one will ever be able to defeat you.

6-8 *Long ago I promised the ancestors of Israel that I would give this land to their descendants. So be strong and brave! Be careful to do everything my servant Moses taught you. Never stop reading The Book of the Law* he gave you. Day and night you must think about what it says. If you obey it completely, you and Israel will be able to take this land.

6 Be brave and strong! Don’t be afraid of the nations on the other side of the Jordan. The Lord your God will always be at your side, and he will never abandon you.

10 Don’t be afraid. I am with you.

Don’t tremble with fear.

I am your God.

I will make you strong,

as I protect you with my arm

and give you victories.

20 because I am making you strong,

like a bronze wall.

They are evil and violent,

but when they attack,

12 The angel appeared and spoke to Gideon, "The Lord is helping you, and you are a strong warrior."

5 *Don’t fall in love with money. Be satisfied with what you have. The Lord has promised that he will not leave us or desert us.

20 and teach them to do everything I have told you. I will be with you always, even until the end of the world.

17 and that Christ will live in your hearts because of your faith. Stand firm and be deeply rooted in his love.

16 *All of you surely know you are God’s temple and his Spirit lives in you.

20 Listen! I am standing and knocking at your door. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and we will eat together.

38 I am sure that nothing can separate us from God’s love—not life or death, not angels or spirits, not the present or the future, 39 and not powers above or powers below. Nothing in all creation can separate us from God’s love for us in Christ Jesus our Lord!
