As crianças são preciosas aos olhos de Deus. Jesus as acolheu, abençoou e ensinou que delas é o Reino dos Céus — modelos de fé, pureza e humildade.
Jesus e as crianças
Deixai vir a mim as crianças. Jesus abraçou, abençoou e honrou as crianças como modelo de fé para os adultos.
But Jesus said, "Let the children come to me, and don’t try to stop them! People who are like these children belong to God’s kingdom."
Who Is the Greatest?
About this time the disciples came to Jesus and asked him who would be the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Jesus called for a child to come over and stand near him. Then he said:
I promise you this. If you don’t change and become like a child, you will never get into the kingdom of heaven. But if you are as humble as this child, you are the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
The Lost Sheep
Don’t be cruel to any of these little ones! I promise you their angels are always with my Father in heaven.
But the chief priests and the teachers of the Law of Moses were angry when they saw his miracles and heard the children shouting praises to the Son of David.The men said to Jesus, "Don’t you hear what those children are saying?"
"Yes, I do!" Jesus answered. "Don’t you know that the Scriptures say, ‘Children and infants will sing praises’?"
I promise you that you cannot get into God’s kingdom, unless you accept it the way a child does." Then Jesus took the children in his arms and blessed them by placing his hands on them.
Then Jesus asked a child to stand near him. He put his arm around the child and said, "When you welcome even a child because of me, you welcome me. And when you welcome me, you welcome the one who sent me."
Instruir e proteger
Instrui a criança no caminho de Deus. Elas são herança do Senhor — presentes sagrados que devemos educar com amor.
Teach your children
right from wrong,
and when they are grown
they will still do right.
I will teach your children
and make them successful.
Children are a blessing
and a gift from the Lord.
Children must always obey their parents. This pleases the Lord.
Parents, don’t be hard on your children. If you are, they might give up.
Children and Parents
Children, you belong to the Lord, and you do the right thing when you obey your parents. The first commandment with a promise says, "Obey your father and your mother, and you will have a long and happy life."
Parents, don’t be hard on your children. Raise them properly. Teach them and instruct them about the Lord.
I pray that the Lord
will bless and protect you,
and that he will show you mercy
and kindness.
May the Lord be good to you
and give you peace."
