As crianças são preciosas aos olhos de Deus. Jesus as acolheu, abençoou e ensinou que delas é o Reino dos Céus — modelos de fé, pureza e humildade.

Deixai vir a mim as crianças. Jesus abraçou, abençoou e honrou as crianças como modelo de fé para os adultos.

"Truly I tell you," he said, "unless you turn and become like little children,you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child — this one is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
"See to it that you don’t despise one of these little ones,because I tell you that in heaven their angelscontinually view the face of my Father in heaven.,
When the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonders that he did and the children shouting in the temple, "Hosanna to the Son of David! " they were indignant and said to him, "Do you hear what these children are saying? "
Jesus replied, "Yes, have you never read:
You have preparedpraise
from the mouths of infants and nursing babies? "
Truly I tell you,whoever does not receive,the kingdom of God like a little childwill never enter it."After taking them in his arms, he laid his hands on them and blessed them.
He took a child, had him stand among them, and taking him in his arms, he said to them, "Whoever welcomesone little child such as this in my namewelcomes me. And whoever welcomes me does not welcome me, but him who sentme."
