As crianças são preciosas aos olhos de Deus. Jesus as acolheu, abençoou e ensinou que delas é o Reino dos Céus — modelos de fé, pureza e humildade.

Deixai vir a mim as crianças. Jesus abraçou, abençoou e honrou as crianças como modelo de fé para os adultos.
but Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven."
Who Is the Greatest?
At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?" And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, "Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

"See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.
But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying out in the temple, "Hosanna to the Son of David!" they were indignant, and they said to him, "Do you hear what these are saying?" And Jesus said to them, "Yes; have you never read,
"‘Out of the mouth of infants and nursing babies
you have prepared praise’?"
Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it."And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.
And he took a child and put him in the midst of them, and taking him in his arms, he said to them, "Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me, receives not me but him who sent me."
Instruir e proteger
Instrui a criança no caminho de Deus. Elas são herança do Senhor — presentes sagrados que devemos educar com amor.
Train up a child in the way he should go;
even when he is old he will not depart from it.
All your children shall be taught by the Lord,
and great shall be the peace of your children.
Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,
the fruit of the womb a reward.
Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. "Honor your father and mother" (this is the first commandment with a promise), "that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land." Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
