Dia das crianças
As crianças são preciosas aos olhos de Deus. Jesus as acolheu, abençoou e ensinou que delas é o Reino dos Céus — modelos de fé, pureza e humildade.
Jesus e as crianças
Deixai vir a mim as crianças. Jesus abraçou, abençoou e honrou as crianças como modelo de fé para os adultos.
But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me. Don’t stop them. The kingdom of heaven belongs to those who are like them!"
Around that time the disciples came to Jesus, and asked, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?"
Jesus called over a small child. He had the child stand in front of them. "I tell you the truth, unless you change the way you think and become like little children, you won’t ever enter the kingdom of heaven," he told them. "But whoever humbles themselves and becomes like this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Make sure you don’t look down on these little ones. I tell you that in heaven their angels are always with my heavenly Father.
But when the chief priests and religious teachers saw the wonderful miracles he did, and the children shouting in the Temple, "Hosanna to the son of David," they were offended.
"Do you hear what these children are saying?" they asked him.
"Yes," Jesus replied. "Haven’t you ever read the Scripture that says, ‘You arranged for children and infants to give you perfect praise’?"
I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t welcome the kingdom of God like a child won’t enter it." He hugged the children, placed his hands on them, and blessed them.
He took a small child and had the child stand right in the middle of them. Then he picked up and hugged the child, and told them, "Whoever welcomes a child like this in my name, welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me doesn’t welcome me but the one who sent me."

Instrui a criança no caminho de Deus. Elas são herança do Senhor — presentes sagrados que devemos educar com amor.
Teach children the right way to live, and when they grow up they’ll go on doing so.
and all your children will be students of the Lord, and they will live in complete peace.
Children certainly are a gift from the Lord, for a family is a blessing.
You children, always do what your parents tell you because this is what pleases the Lord. You fathers, don’t make your children mad, so they won’t feel like giving up.
Children, as believers in the Lord, do what your parents tell you, for this is the right thing to do. "Honor your father and mother." This is the first commandment that has a promise attached: "that things may go well for you and you may live a long life on the earth." Fathers, don’t make your children mad, but look after them by disciplining them and instructing them about God.
‘May the Lord bless you and take care of you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord watch over you and give you peace.’
