As crianças são preciosas aos olhos de Deus. Jesus as acolheu, abençoou e ensinou que delas é o Reino dos Céus — modelos de fé, pureza e humildade.

Deixai vir a mim as crianças. Jesus abraçou, abençoou e honrou as crianças como modelo de fé para os adultos.
Yet Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
True Greatness
In that hour the disciples came to Jesus and said, "Who is greater in the kingdom of heaven?" So Jesus called over a little child, placed him among them, and said, "Truly I say to you, unless you change and become like little children, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this little child is greater in the kingdom of heaven.
The Parable of the Lost Sheep
"Be careful not to despise one of these little ones, for I tell you that their angels in heaven continually see the face of my Father in heaven.
But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that he did and the children crying out in the temple courts, "Hosanna to the Son of David," they were indignant and said to him, "Do yoʋ hear what these children are saying?" Jesus said to them, "Yes, have you never read,
‘Out of the mouths of babies and nursing infants
yoʋ have prepared praise’?"
Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will certainly not enter it." And taking the children in his arms, he laid his hands on them and blessed them.
Then he took a child and placed him before them. And taking the child in his arms, he said to them, "Whoever receives one child such as this in my name receives me; and whoever receives me, receives not me, but him who sent me."
Instruir e proteger
Instrui a criança no caminho de Deus. Elas são herança do Senhor — presentes sagrados que devemos educar com amor.
Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.
Children and Parents
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. "Honor yoʋr father and mother" (which is the first commandment with a promise), "that it may be well with yoʋ and yoʋ may live long on the earth." Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.
