Os avós são tesouros vivos de sabedoria e fé. A Bíblia honra os mais velhos e celebra a transmissão de fé entre gerações — dos avós aos netos e destes aos que virão.
A bênção dos avós
A coroa dos velhos são os filhos dos filhos. A misericórdia de Deus é de geração em geração sobre os que o temem.
6 Children's children are the crown of old men, and the glory of children is their fathers.
17 But the mercy of the Lord is eternal for his worshippers, and their children's children will see his righteousness;
25 I have been young, and now am old, but I have not seen the good man without help, or his children looking for bread.
4 One generation after another will give praise to your great acts, and make clear the operation of your strength.
5 For the Lord is good, and his mercy is never-ending; his faith is unchanging through all generations.
Força e fidelidade
Mesmo na velhice darão frutos. Os cabelos brancos são coroa de glória. Deus não abandona seus filhos na idade avançada.
14 \92:13\Those who are planted in the house of the Lord will come up tall and strong in his gardens.15 \92:14\They will give fruit even when they are old; they will be fertile and full of growth;
31 The grey head is a crown of glory, if it is seen in the way of righteousness.
4 Even when you are old I will be the same, and when you are grey-haired I will take care of you: I will still be responsible for what I made; yes, I will take you and keep you safe.
30 Even the young men will become feeble and tired, and the best of them will come to the end of his strength;31 But those who are waiting for the Lord will have new strength; they will get wings like eagles: running, they will not be tired, and walking, they will have no weariness.
9 Only take care, and keep watch on your soul, for fear that the things which your eyes have seen go from your memory and from your heart all the days of your life; but let the knowledge of them be given to your children and to your children's children;
