Os avós são tesouros vivos de sabedoria e fé. A Bíblia honra os mais velhos e celebra a transmissão de fé entre gerações — dos avós aos netos e destes aos que virão.
A bênção dos avós
A coroa dos velhos são os filhos dos filhos. A misericórdia de Deus é de geração em geração sobre os que o temem.
Children’s children are the crown of old men: and the glory of children are their fathers.
There the sparrows shall make their nests. The highest of them is the house of the heron.
His spirit shall go forth, and he shall return into his earth: in that day all their thoughts shall perish.

Old age is a crown of dignity, when it is found in the ways of justice.
Even to your old age I am the same, and to your grey hairs I will carry you: I have made you, and I will bear: I will carry and will save.
Youths shall faint, and labour, and young men shall fall by infirmity. But they that hope in the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall take wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.
