Dia dos avós
Os avós são tesouros vivos de sabedoria e fé. A Bíblia honra os mais velhos e celebra a transmissão de fé entre gerações — dos avós aos netos e destes aos que virão.
A bênção dos avós
A coroa dos velhos são os filhos dos filhos. A misericórdia de Deus é de geração em geração sobre os que o temem.
6 Sons sons [are] the crown of old men, And the glory of sons [are] their fathers.
17 And the kindness of Jehovah [Is] from age even unto age on those fearing Him, And His righteousness to sons sons,
25 Young I have been, I have also become old, And I have not seen the righteous forsaken, And his seed seeking bread.
4 Generation to generation praiseth Thy works, And Thy mighty acts they declare.
5 For good [is] Jehovah, to the age His kindness, And to generation and generation His faithfulness!
Força e fidelidade
Mesmo na velhice darão frutos. Os cabelos brancos são coroa de glória. Deus não abandona seus filhos na idade avançada.
14 Still they bring forth in old age, Fat and flourishing are they,15 To declare that upright [is] Jehovah my rock, And there is no perverseness in Him!
31 A crown of beauty [are] grey hairs, In the way of righteousness it is found.
4 Even to old age I [am] He, and to grey hairs I carry, I made, and I bear, yea, I carry and deliver.
30 Even youths are wearied and fatigued, And young men utterly stumble,31 But those expecting Jehovah pass [to] power, They raise up the pinion as eagles, They run and are not fatigued, They go on and do not faint!
9 Only, take heed to thyself, and watch thy soul exceedingly, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they turn aside from thy heart, all days of thy life; and thou hast made them known to thy sons, and to thy sons sons.
