Dificuldades
God is our mighty fortress,
always ready to help
in times of trouble.
And so, we won’t be afraid!
Let the earth tremble
and the mountains tumble
into the deepest sea.
Let the ocean roar and foam,
and its raging waves
shake the mountains.
Then you will say to the Lord,
"You are my fortress,
my place of safety;
you are my God,
and I trust you."
Trust God, my friends,
and always tell him
each of your concerns.
God is our place of safety.
The poor can run to you
because you are a fortress
in times of trouble.
Everyone who honors your name
can trust you,
because you are faithful
to all who depend on you.
You rule the roaring sea
and calm its waves.
Its mighty waves are majestic,
but you are even more majestic,
and you rule over all.
He made the storm stop
and the sea be quiet.
Can anything separate us from the love of Christ? Can trouble, suffering, and hard times, or hunger and nakedness, or danger and death? It is exactly as the Scriptures say,
"For you we face death
all day long.
We are like sheep
on their way
to be butchered."
In everything we have won more than a victory because of Christ who loves us. I am sure that nothing can separate us from God’s love—not life or death, not angels or spirits, not the present or the future, and not powers above or powers below. Nothing in all creation can separate us from God’s love for us in Christ Jesus our Lord!
Provisão nas dificuldades
O Senhor provê mesmo nos tempos mais difíceis. Ele sustentou Elias, protegeu Israel e cuida dos seus com fidelidade eterna.
The Lord kept the promise that his prophet Elijah had made, and she did not run out of flour or oil.
God hid them under a cloud
and guided them by fire
during the night.
When they asked for food,
he sent more birds
than they could eat.
God even split open a rock,
and streams of water
gushed into the desert.
As long as I can remember,
good people have never
been left helpless,
and their children have never
gone begging for food.
Those who obey the Lord
are daily in his care,
and what he has given them
will be theirs forever.
They won’t be in trouble
when times are bad,
and they will have plenty
when food is scarce.
I will bless the thirsty land
by sending streams of water;
I will bless your descendants
by giving them my Spirit.
You have been a place of safety
for the poor and needy
in times of trouble.
Brutal enemies pounded us
like a heavy rain
or the heat of the sun at noon,
but you were our shelter.
It will provide shade from the heat of the sun and a place of shelter and protection from storms and rain.
When you cross deep rivers,
I will be with you,
and you won’t drown.
When you walk through fire,
you won’t be burned
or scorched by the flames.
Força nas provas
Em tudo somos atribulados, mas não esmagados. O Senhor é bom e é fortaleza no dia da angústia — Ele conhce os seus.
We often suffer, but we are never crushed. Even when we don’t know what to do, we never give up. In times of trouble, God is with us, and when we are knocked down, we get up again.
The Lord is good.
He protects those who trust him
in times of trouble.
God stores water in clouds,
but they don’t burst,
and he wraps them around
the face of the moon.
On the surface of the ocean,
God has drawn a boundary line
between light and darkness.
You will be sheltered,
without fear of hurtful words
or any other weapon.
But Jesus replied, "Why are you so afraid? You surely don’t have much faith." Then he got up and ordered the wind and the waves to calm down. And everything was calm.
The men in the boat were amazed and said, "Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him."
God gives such beauty to everything that grows in the fields, even though it is here today and thrown into a fire tomorrow. God will surely do even more for you! Why do you have such little faith?
Don’t worry and ask yourselves, "Will we have anything to eat? Will we have anything to drink? Will we have any clothes to wear?"
The woman ran into the desert to a place that God had prepared for her. There she would be taken care of for 1,260 days.
I have given you the power to trample on snakes and scorpions and to defeat the power of your enemy Satan. Nothing can harm you.
