O dinheiro é ferramenta que pode ser usada para o bem ou para o mal. A Bíblia nos ensina a administrar recursos com sabedoria, generosidade e temor ao Senhor.
Perspectiva bíblica
Guardai-vos da avareza. A vida não consiste na abundância de bens. O dinheiro é servo, nunca senhor.
And He said to them, "Observe, and beware of the covetousness, because his life is not in the abundance of one’s goods."
for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
And his lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant, you were faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things; enter into the joy of your lord.
For wealth makes wings to itself, || It flies to the heavens as an eagle.
Do not labor to make wealth, || Cease from your own understanding, || Do you cause your eyes to fly on it? Then it is not.
Whoever is loving silver is not satisfied [with] silver, nor he who is in love with stores [with] increase. Even this [is] vanity.
Administrar com sabedoria
Honra ao Senhor com as tuas primícias. O sábio administra seus recursos com prudência e visão de eternidade.
Honor YHWH from your substance, || And from the beginning of all your increase;
The blessing of YHWH—it makes rich, || And He adds no grief with it.
Treasures of wickedness do not profit, || And righteousness delivers from death.
Wealth from vanity becomes little, || And whoever is gathering by the hand becomes great.
To get wisdom—how much better than gold, || And to get understanding—to be chosen [more] than silver!
A name is chosen rather than much wealth, || Than silver and than gold—good grace.
Better [is] a little with the fear of YHWH, || Than much treasure, and tumult with it.
The desirableness of a man [is] his kindness, || And the poor [is] better than a liar.
Put vanity and a lying word far from me, || Do not give poverty or wealth to me, || Cause me to eat the bread of my portion,
Perigos e armadilhas
Quem quer enriquecer cai em tentação. Fuja do amor ao dinheiro e busque contentamento no Senhor.
and those intending to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and many desires, foolish and hurtful, that sink men into ruin and destruction,
Charge those rich in the present age not to be high-minded, nor to hope in the uncertainty of riches, but in the living God, who is giving to us all things richly for enjoyment—
[Be] without covetous behavior, being content with the things present, for He has said, "No, I will not leave, no, nor forsake you,"
Wealth does not profit in a day of wrath, || And righteousness delivers from death.
The wealth of the rich [is] the city of his strength, || And as a wall set on high in his own imagination.
Tudo vem de Deus
De ti vem tudo, e das tuas mãos to damos. Os tributos são devidos — dai a César o que é de César e a Deus o que é de Deus.
indeed, because who [am] I, and who [are] my people, that we retain power to offer thus willingly? But the whole [is] from You, and we have given to You out of Your [own] hand;
render, therefore, to all [their] dues; to whom tribute, the tribute; to whom custom, the custom; to whom fear, the fear; to whom honor, the honor.
for because of this you also pay tribute; for they are servants of God, on this very thing attending continually;
Better [is] the little of the righteous, || Than the store of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked are shattered, || And YHWH is sustaining the righteous.
I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, || As over all wealth.
