O devedor é servo do credor
A Bíblia convida à liberdade financeira.
The poor are ruled by the rich,
and those who borrow
are slaves of moneylenders.
Do all you can for everyone
who deserves your help.
Money wrongly gained
will disappear bit by bit;
money earned little by little
will grow and grow.
You cannot be the slave of two masters! You will like one more than the other or be more loyal to one than the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
Pay all that you owe, whether it is taxes and fees or respect and honor.
Let love be your only debt! If you love others, you have done all that the Law demands.
An evil person borrows
and never pays back;
a good person is generous
and never stops giving.
Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. What is the first thing you will do? Won’t you sit down and figure out how much it will cost and if you have enough money to pay for it?
Give to everyone who asks and don’t ask people to return what they have taken from you.
Forgive us for doing wrong,
as we forgive others.
Contentamento
Don’t fall in love with money. Be satisfied with what you have. The Lord has promised that he will not leave us or desert us.
No one in Israel should ever be poor. The Lord your God is giving you this land, and he has promised to make you very successful, if you obey his laws and teachings that I’m giving you today. You will lend money to many nations, but you won’t have to borrow. You will rule many nations, but they won’t rule you.
