Doença
A doença é realidade humana que a Bíblia confronta com compaixão e poder. Jesus curou toda enfermidade e prometeu ouvir a oração da fé pelos enfermos.
Jesus, o curador
Jesus percorreu toda a Galileia curando toda enfermidade e doença entre o povo. Pelo seu nome, curas continuam acontecendo.
Then Jesus went around to all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the Gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every illness among the people.

And when evening came they brought to Him many who were demonized. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, so that what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet should be fulfilled, namely:
"He Himself took our infirmities and bore our diseases."
I was naked and you clothed me; I was sick and you visited me; I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer Him saying: ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? When did we see you a stranger and take you in, or naked and clothe you? Or when did we see you sick or in prison and come to you?’ And in answer the King will say to them, ‘Assuredly I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ demonstrations of righteousness. As James says, a ‘faith’ that does not produce will not save anyone. "These my brothers" refers to those on the King’s right.
Upon hearing it Jesus said to them: "It is not the healthy who have need of a doctor, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."
Heal the sick therein and say to them, ‘The Kingdom of God has come near to you.’
Then He called the Twelve together and gave them power and authority over all the demons, and to cure diseases; and He sent them to proclaim the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick.
Because of the incredible importance of the revelations, to keep me from feeling too important, there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to beat on me—to keep me from feeling too important. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. But He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more cheerfully about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may take up residence upon me. So then, I take pleasure in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
Esperança na aflição
Ele tomou sobre si as nossas enfermidades. Mesmo na doença, o coração alegre serve de bom remédio e Deus dá esperança.
Rather, you know that I preached the Gospel to you the first time in spite of a physical infirmity. of his preaching the Gospel to them? A counter-cause would make better sense, but I am not aware of any way to express it in Greek; the closest thing appears to be καιπερ ‘although’, that occurs all of five times in the NT In spoken English ‘raise’ and ‘raze’ are pronounced the same, but have opposite meanings, and this sort of thing is not rare in language. An ironic inflection reverses the meaning of what is said. I assume that something of the sort has occurred in this verse, and I have given the assumed intent. Also, you did not despise or recoil at my physical trial, but you received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.
