Fruto do Espírito
O fruto do Espírito inclui domínio próprio. A graça de Deus nos ensina a viver de maneira sóbria e justa neste mundo.
God’s Spirit makes us loving, happy, peaceful, patient, kind, good, faithful, gentle, and self-controlled. There is no law against behaving in any of these ways.
God has shown us undeserved grace by coming to save all people. He taught us to give up our wicked ways and our worldly desires and to live decent and honest lives in this world. We are filled with hope, as we wait for the glorious return of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.
God’s Spirit doesn’t make cowards out of us. The Spirit gives us power, love, and self-control.
Do your best to improve your faith by adding goodness, understanding, self-control, patience, devotion to God, concern for others, and love.

Melhor é o que domina o seu espírito do que o que toma uma cidade. A cidade sem muros é o homem sem domínio próprio.
Controlling your temper
is better than being a hero
who captures a city.
Losing self-control
leaves you as helpless
as a city without a wall.
Don’t be a fool
and quickly lose your temper—
be sensible and patient.
You will say the wrong thing
if you talk too much—
so be sensible and watch
what you say.
You know that many runners enter a race, and only one of them wins the prize. So run to win! Athletes work hard to win a crown that cannot last, but we do it for a crown that will last forever. I don’t run without a goal. And I don’t box by beating my fists in the air. I keep my body under control and make it my slave, so I won’t lose out after telling the good news to others.
But if you don’t have enough self-control, then go ahead and get married. After all, it is better to marry than to burn with desire.
You are tempted in the same way that everyone else is tempted. But God can be trusted not to let you be tempted too much, and he will show you how to escape from your temptations.
Disciplina e vigilância
Sede sóbrios e vigilantes. O diabo anda em derredor como leão rugidor. A sobriedade nos protege e fortalece.
Be on your guard and stay awake. Your enemy, the devil, is like a roaring lion, sneaking around to find someone to attack. But you must resist the devil and stay strong in your faith. You know that all over the world the Lord’s followers are suffering just as you are.
Everything will soon come to an end. So be serious and be sensible enough to pray.
Christ suffered here on earth. Now you must be ready to suffer as he did, because suffering shows that you have stopped sinning. It means you have turned from your own desires and want to obey God for the rest of your life. You have already lived long enough like people who don’t know God. You were immoral and followed your evil desires. You went around drinking and partying and carrying on. In fact, you even worshiped disgusting idols. Now your former friends wonder why you have stopped running around with them, and they curse you for it. But they will have to answer to God, who judges the living and the dead.
Respect and honor your wife.Don’t be a slave of your desires or live like people who don’t know God.

Todo domínio pertence a Cristo. Ele é Senhor dos senhores e Rei dos reis — e nos capacita a viver em santidade.
All of God’s creation
and all that he rules,

As I continued to watch the vision that night,

a son of man

A child has been born for us.
We have been given a son
who will be our ruler.
His names will be
Wonderful Advisor
and Mighty God,
Eternal Father
and Prince of Peace.
His power will never end;
peace will last forever.
He will rule David’s kingdom
and make it grow strong.
He will always rule
with honesty and justice.
The Lord All-Powerful
will make certain
that all of this is done.
God rescued us from the dark power of Satan and brought us into the kingdom of his dear Son, who forgives our sins and sets us free.
when he raised Christ from death and let him sit at his right side in heaven. There Christ rules over all forces, authorities, powers, and rulers. He rules over all beings in this world and will rule in the future world as well.
But we are citizens of heaven and are eagerly waiting for our Savior to come from there. Our Lord Jesus Christ has power over everything, and he will make these poor bodies of ours like his own glorious body.
We know that death no longer has any power over Christ. He died and was raised to life, never again to die.
If we follow our desires, we cannot please God.
You are no longer ruled by your desires, but by God’s Spirit, who lives in you. People who don’t have the Spirit of Christ in them don’t belong to him.
Adam brought death to all of us, and Christ will bring life to all of us. But we must each wait our turn. Christ was the first to be raised to life, and his people will be raised to life when he returns. Then after Christ has destroyed all powers and forces, the end will come, and he will give the kingdom to God the Father.
Christ will rule until he puts all his enemies under his power,
God is the one to fear,
because God is in control
and rules the heavens.
