Encorajamento
31 What shall we say, then, to these things? Since God is for us, who can be against us?
15 For you have not received the spirit of bondage, again, to fear; but you have received the spirit of adoption, by which we cry, Abba, Father.
2 Wherefore, let every one of us please his neighbor, as far as it is good for edification.
5 Now, may the God who gives patience and admonition, give to you mutual unity of sentiment, according to Christ Jesus.
11 For I greatly desire to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, that you may be established;12 and that I may be comforted, together with you, through the mutual faith both of you and me.
13 I can do all things, through him who strengthens me.
6 having this very confidence, that he who has begun a good work among you, will continue to perfect it till the day of Jesus Christ.
17 For, if any one be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new!
16 Wherefore, we do not faint; but, though, indeed, out outward man is impaired, yet the inward man is renewed, day by day.
17 For our momentary light afflictions work out for us an eternal weight of glory, great beyond expression;
7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power might be of God, and not of us.8 We are pressed on every side, but not straitened; perplexed, but not in despair;9 persecuted, but not utterly forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.10 At all times carrying about in the body, the putting to death of Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our body.11 For we who live are always exposed to death for the sake of Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal flesh.
11 Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; and are made manifest to God: and, I trust, are made manifest also to your consciences.12 However, we do not again commend ourselves to you, but only give you occasion of boasting concerning us, that you may have an answer to them who boast in appearance, not in heart.13 For, whether we be beside ourselves, it is for God; or whether we be sober, it is for you.14 For the love of Christ constrains us, having judged thus- that if one has died, certainly all have died;15 and that he has died for all, that they who live should no longer live to themselves, but to him who has died and rose again for them.16 So that we, from this time forth, respect no man on account of the flesh: and even if we have esteemed Christ on account of the flesh, yet now we esteem him no more on that account.17 For, if any one be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new!18 And all these things of God, who has reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us to the ministry of the reconciliation-19 namely, that God was, by Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not counting to them their trespasses, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.20 We, therefore, execute the office of ambassadors for Christ, as of God beseeching you by us; we pray you, in behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.21 For he has made him, who knew no sin, a sin-offering for us; that we might become the justified of God, by him.
12 For if there be a willing mind, according to what a person has, he is accepted; and not according to what he has not.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies, and the God of all consolation!4 who comforts us in all out affliction, that we may be able to comfort them who are in any affliction, by the consolation with which they are comforted of God.
Ânimo nas lutas
No mundo tereis aflições, mas tende bom ânimo — Eu venci o mundo. O Senhor é refúgio seguro em toda tribulação.
33 These things I have spoken to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage! I have overcome the world.
33 These things I have spoken to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage! I have overcome the world.
27 Peace I leave you; my peace I give you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Be not disheartened; be not intimidated.
27 Peace I leave you; my peace I give you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Be not disheartened; be not intimidated.
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has torment: therefore, he who fears is not made perfect in love.
Promessas de conforto
Vinde a mim os cansados e sobrecarregados. Lança sobre Ele tuas ansiedades, pois Ele cuida de ti.
28 Come to me, all you who toil and are burdened, and I will give you rest.
28 And fear not them you kill the body, but can not kill the soul; rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
7 Cast all your anxious care on him, because he cares for you.
6 On account of this, be exceeding glad, though now, for a little while, (since it is needful,) you are made sorry by divers trials;
13 Besides, who is he that will do evil to you, if you be imitators of the Good One?14 Nevertheless, although you even suffer for righteousness' sake, you are happy. Therefore, do not fear their fear, neither be troubled:
Encorajar uns aos outros
Encorajai-vos mutuamente e edificai-vos uns aos outros. Não desanimemos — a bondade do Senhor é nova a cada manhã.
11 Wherefore, comfort one another, and edify each other, even as also you do.
11 Wherefore, comfort one another, and edify each other, even as also you do.
24 And let us attentively consider one another, to excite to love and good works;25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more, as you see the day approaching.
5 «Let your behavior be without the love of money, being contented with the things you have; for himself has said,» 'I will never leave you, not will I at all utterly forsake you.'6 «So that taking courage, we may say,» 'The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man can do to men.'
58 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, be stable, unmoved; abounding in the work of the Lord at all times, knowing that your labor is not vain in the Lord.
13 Watch; stand fast in the faith; acquit yourselves like men; be strong.
13 Watch; stand fast in the faith; acquit yourselves like men; be strong.
7 For God has not given us a spirit of cowardice; but of power, and of love, and of self-government.
17 Jesus said to them, Come with me, and I will cause you to be fishers of men.18 Immediately they left their nets, and followed him.
Deus chama pelo nome
Ao longo da Bíblia, Deus chamou seus servos pelo nome — Abraão, Moisés, Samuel, Paulo — encorajando cada um pessoalmente.
10 Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus, whose name was Ananias; and the Lord said to him in a vision, Ananias! And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.
38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord. Be it to me according to your word. Then the angel departed.
6 Are not five sparrows sold for two pence? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God:7 yes, the very hairs of your head are all numbered: fear not, therefore; you are much more valuable than sparrows.
