Esperança

Quando os dias pesam e o futuro parece incerto, é comum que a alma busque um lugar onde descansar. A Bíblia mostra que a esperança cristã não depende das circunstâncias ao seu redor, mas da fidelidade de Deus e das promessas que ele cumpre.

Esperança viva

Bendito seja Deus que nos gerou de novo para uma esperança viva, mediante a ressurreição de Jesus Cristo.

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy begat us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,(1 Peter 1:3)

15 but sanctify in your hearts Christ as Lord: being ready always to give answer to every man that asketh you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, yet with meekness and fear:(1 Peter 3:15)

3 And every one that hath this hope set on him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.(1 John 3:3)

Esperança que não decepciona

A esperança não decepciona, pois o amor de Deus é derramado em nossos corações pelo Espírito Santo.

5 and hope putteth not to shame; because the love of God hath been shed abroad in our hearts through the Holy Ghost which was given unto us.(Romans 5:5)

1 Being therefore justified by faith, let us have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ; 2 through whom also we have had our access by faith into this grace wherein we stand; and let us rejoice in hope of the glory of God.(Romans 5:1,2)

A fé é a certeza

A fé é a certeza do que se espera. Mantenhamos firme a confissão da esperança, pois fiel é o que prometeu.

1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the proving of things not seen.(Hebrews 11:1)

23 let us hold fast the confession of our hope that it waver not; for he is faithful that promised:(Hebrews 10:23)

Esperança e confiança

Eu sei os planos que tenho para vocês — planos de paz e esperança. Deus é a fonte de toda esperança.

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope in your latter end.(Jeremiah 29:11)

Esperança eterna

Somos salvos na esperança. Aquele que prometeu é fiel. A esperança está guardada nos céus para os que creem.

7 that, being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.(Titus 3:7)

10 For to this end we labour and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of them that believe.(1 Timothy 4:10)

Firmeza na esperança

Esperai no Senhor! O cavalo é vaidade para a segurança, mas o Senhor guarda os que nele esperam.

20 Our soul hath waited for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.(Psalms 33:20)
