Upon God alone, O my soul, rest peacefully; for my expectation is from him.(Psalms 62:5)

Rest in Jehovah, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him that prospereth in his way, because of the man that bringeth mischievous devices to pass.(Psalms 37:7)

I wait for Jehovah; my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. My soul waiteth for the Lord more than the watchers wait for the morning, more than the watchers for the morning.(Psalms 130:5,6)

Wait for Jehovah; be strong and let thy heart take courage: yea, wait for Jehovah.(Psalms 27:14)

I waited patiently for Jehovah; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.(Psalms 40:1)

but they that wait upon Jehovah shall renew their strength: they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not tire; they shall walk, and not faint.(Isaiah 40:31)

Never have men heard, nor perceived by the ear, nor hath eye seen a God beside thee, who acteth for him that waiteth for him.(Isaiah 64:4)

Have patience, therefore, brethren, till the coming of the Lord. Behold, the labourer awaits the precious fruit of the earth, having patience for it until it receive the early and the latter rain. Ye also have patience: stablish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is drawn nigh.(James 5:7,8)
