O espírito humano é a parte mais profunda do nosso ser — onde Deus habita, onde a fé se ancora e de onde brota a verdadeira adoração. A Bíblia nos chama a viver pelo Espírito.
A natureza do espírito
O espírito está pronto, mas a carne é fraca. A batalha entre carne e espírito é constante e exige vigilância.
O Espírito de Deus em nós
Vosso corpo é templo do Espírito Santo. Deus fortalece com poder no homem interior pelo seu Espírito.
Vida no Espírito
Deus é Espírito e importa que os que o adoram o adorem em espírito e em verdade. O Espírito vivifica e transforma.
Promessas do Espírito
Derramarei o meu Espírito sobre toda a carne. O Espírito revela, guia e capacita os filhos de Deus.
Behold, I will bring forth to you the utterance of my breath,
And I will instruct you in my speech.
All the works of the humble man are manifest with God;
But the ungodly shall perish in an evil day.
Pride goes before destruction,
And folly before a fall.
Better is a meek-spirited man with lowliness,
Than one who divides spoils with the proud.
A man slow to anger is better than a strong man;
And he that governs his temper better than he that takes a city.
The spirit of man is a light of the Lord,
Who searches the inmost parts of the belly.
And he answered and spoke to me, saying, This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel, saying,
Not by mighty power, nor by strength, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord Almighty.
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me; he has sent me to preach glad tidings to the poor, to heal the broken in heart, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind;
And I will give them another heart, and will put a new spirit within them; and will extract the heart of stone from their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh: that they may walk in my commandments, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be to me a people, and I will be to them a God.
Thus saith the Lord to these bones; Behold, I will bring upon you the breath of life:

But I am as a fruitful olive in the house of God:
I have trusted in the mercy of God
Forever, even for evermore.
I will give thanks to thee forever, for thou hast done it:
And I will wait on thy name;
For it is good before thy saints.
I will give thanks to thee even in a great congregation:
In an abundant people I will praise thee.
He heals the broken in heart,
And binds up their wounds.
He numbers the multitudes of stars;
And calls them all by names.
In the beginning God made the heaven and the earth. But the earth was unsightly and unfurnished, and darkness was over the deep, and the Spirit of God moved over the water.
But there is a spirit in mortals;
And the inspiration of the Almighty is that which teaches.
Before the silver cord be let go,
Or the choice gold be broken,
Or the pitcher be broken at the fountain,
Or the wheel run down to the cistern;
Before the dust also return to the earth as it was,
And the spirit return to God who gave it.
